Every mother needs a village.

I'm Erin, a postpartum doula in Charlotte. I come to your home in the first weeks after your baby arrives and take care of everything that isn't the baby, and plenty that is.

Lower odds of postpartum depression and anxiety with doula support.

New mothers experience postpartum depression. Support changes that.

2 weeks

The average time before partners return to work and when the village matters most.

The reality

You're not supposed to do this alone. You just had a baby, and somehow you're expected to handle all of it:

  • Your mom lives four states away
  • Your friends mean well but have their own lives
  • Your husband is back at work in two weeks

In most of the world a new mother is surrounded and cared for while she recovers. That's not indulgence. That's how it's supposed to work.

What I do

I spend four to six hours at a time with your family in the first weeks and months. While I'm there:

  • I feed the baby, or bring the baby to you
  • I get you fed, showered, and back into your own body
  • I cook nourishing meals from scratch, made for recovery
  • I reset the house and protect naps
  • I keep older kids feeling like the big deal they are

Mostly, I make sure someone is taking care of you while you take care of your baby.

Why families choose me

I cook. Fresh, warming, healthy meals. Families tell me it's the thing they miss most when we're done.

I'm a mom of two. I've lived the fog, the doubt, the 3am. Nothing you say will surprise me.

It's just me. No roster, no rotation. The person you meet is the person who shows up, every visit.

When to reach out

Most families book while they're still pregnant, usually in the second trimester, and spots for each season fill early. If you're reading this at 2am with a two-week-old on your chest, it's not too late. Text me. We can usually start within the week.

Where I work

I serve families across Charlotte and the surrounding area, including Myers Park, Eastover, SouthPark, Dilworth, Foxcroft, Ballantyne, Matthews, Weddington, and Waxhaw. If you're nearby and not sure, just ask.

"Erin is the local help I wished I'd had with both my babies. She feels like family, the calm kind who just knows what to do, and I was completely comfortable with her from the first day. I feel like things just settle when she walks in."

"Everything has been insanely delicious. You're stupid talented. You should be a private chef instead of a doula, and charge way, way more."

Victoria
Charlotte mom

"Erin walked in, read our house in about ten minutes, and quietly folded herself into it. She takes care of the newborn and our two-year-old, keeps us fed with meals I'd honestly pay a private chef for, and somehow leaves the whole house feeling calmer than she found it."

Jake
Dad of two, Charlotte

"With three kids under three, we've had a lot of help from family and friends, and we're grateful for all of it. But I needed someone consistent who actually specializes in postpartum. That's Erin, and then some."
